Today, we'll discuss whether you should do a home inspection. Some people want to skip the home inspection to save the money, and I can't say that's a good idea. The most important thing you can do during the home buying transaction is get a home inspection!
When you're looking for a home inspector, make sure you find a reputable one. You can look online for reviews, and you should also look at the American Society of Home Inspectors website. They will have a list of certified, licensed home inspectors for you to peruse.
You also want to make sure that the home inspector you choose will give you a full inspection report with pictures. You're not going to remember all of the details during a four hour home inspection. Having the report allows you to examine the details and determine which repairs are important to you.
Ultimately, a home inspection is worth the money. You will know exactly what you're getting into when you purchase the home, and have peace of mind. If you have any questions, give us a call or send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you!
